From your accommodation you will travel in an 14-person air conditioned-passenger van. This wonderful sightseeing drive, will take you through 3-5 cities of Puerto Rico before arriving to our first stop at the national Rainforest with a connecting trip to the bioluminescent bay.

In the rainforest, we will tour and explore all areas open to the tour operators. This includes the Juan Diego waterfall! Your guide will lead you on a short five minute hike to a waterfall made by rainfall in the area. You will be surrounded by the beauty of the sights and sounds of the rainforest while you cool off in a natural, 4 feet deep water pool.

After a refreshing time at the waterfall, climb up Yokahu Observation tower. Located at 1500 feet above sea level, climb up the 90 plus steps to the top of the tower. Perched up high above sea level the circular tower allows you to see the eastern seaboard of the island. On a clear day, overlook the islands off the coast of Puerto Rico, including Culebra, home of one of the top 20 beaches in the WORLD!

Shortly after exiting the forest, we will head to Luquillo Beach and Kioskos. This is a local favorite with great food and one of Puerto Ricos must-see tourist beaches. You will then have the opportunity to try and learn about local dishes, and help local businesses in the area. Please note, meal and/or refreshments are not included in tour price.

After our stop for our late lunch, early dinner, we will be on our way to the eastern side of Puerto Rico, Laguna Grande –  Bio Bay tour! For those of you that cannot swim, no worries. Here you will receive all of your safety equipment and briefing that will last about 15-25 minutes. You will then be escorted to your two-person kayak, hop in and follow the guides down a 1 mile mangrove canal to the bay area where the bioluminescent, microorganisms are located. While you are kayaking you will experience different eco environments while keeping an eye on the water and the glowing!!

After kayaking back to shore where your driver/tour guide will be waiting for you. Enjoy complimentary snacks and water before you hop back in your vehicle, and your driver will bring you back to your place of stay in San Juan!

Due to the pass of hurricane Maria (September 2017) part of the El Yunque National Forest is still not available. This tour is a best opportunity to discover the rain forest that has been opened back to the public.”
